We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting healthcare providers, delivering quality patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of clinical services. Responsibilities:

1. Patient Care: Assist healthcare providers in delivering direct patient care, including obtaining vital signs, performing phlebotomy, administering medications, and assisting with minor procedures. Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, ensuring their comfort and safety.

2. Medical Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including documenting patient history, chief complaints, and treatment plans. Enter data into electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring completeness and accuracy of information.

3. Patient Education: Provide patient education and instruction on various healthcare topics, including medication administration, preventive care, and self-management of chronic conditions. Answer patient questions and address concerns in a clear and empathetic manner.

4. Clinical Procedures: Perform basic clinical procedures, such as electrocardiograms (EKGs), spirometry, and wound care, under the supervision of healthcare providers. Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of medical equipment and supplies.

5. Administrative Support: Assist with front office tasks, including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and verifying insurance information. Collect copayments and assist with billing and coding processes as needed.

6. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals, to coordinate patient care, address patient needs, and promote interdisciplinary teamwork.

7. Quality Assurance: Adhere to established protocols, policies, and procedures to maintain quality and safety standards in clinical practice. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and compliance activities to enhance patient care delivery.

8. Professional Development: Stay current with developments in medical assisting practice, regulations, and technology. Participate in continuing education activities and pursue opportunities for certification renewal and career advancement.

Requirements:

1. Education: Completion of a certified medical assisting program from an accredited institution.

2. Certification: Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through a recognized credentialing organization, such as the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).

3. Experience: Previous experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred but not required for entry-level positions.

4. Technical Skills: Proficiency in basic medical assisting skills, including vital signs measurement, specimen collection, medication administration, and medical terminology. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems preferred.

5. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
